The Linc is the Junior and Senior High Student
Ministry at New Hope Community Church. The Linc exists
to CONNECT students to a real and personal relationship
with God through SIGNIFICANT REALTIONSHIPS with others.
Students are highly relational. If
you offered a student an opportunity to be a part of
something incredible, no matter how great it is, more
times than not you would be asked “who else is
going?” Students, like many adults, define their
world by those who participate in it with them.
Our
student ministry focuses our efforts to reach and disciple
students through the lens of relationships – for
us, all of our efforts come down to involvement in small
groups. Each program and effort points students to participation
in a small group and beyond that to serving Christ by
putting others needs before their own (Philippians 2:1-8).
When does the
Student Ministry meet? The EDGE is our primary program. Relationships
are ultimately how a student defines their world. We
choose to leverage these relationships to teach, train
and equip students in their walk with Christ. Each Wednesday
night from 6:30 – 8:30 PM, Junior and
Senior High students meet in our newly designed Youth
Center (NC109, 110) for an exciting
night of awesome worship, relevant teaching and small
groups that help them connect to a meaningful, growing
relationship with God.
What happens
on Sunday mornings? For Junior High (grades 6-8) On
a typical Sunday morning, you can expect to find Junior
High students in NC 109 during the 9:30 and 11:00 hours.
During this time, students have the opportunity to relax
and hang out with some friends in our newly redesigned
youth center. Following that relaxing time, students
are challenged with a relevant Biblical message from
God’s Word that has one specific application point.
For High School (grades 9-12)
We are blessed to attend a church where the messages
and music in the Adult Worship Services are relevant
to a High School audience. When a High School student
comes on a Sunday morning, we encourage them to attend
one of our three worship services (8:00, 9:30, and 11:00
AM) in the South Campus Worship Center.
As
a student is on campus for a second hour, we would love
to see that student fulfilling God’s call to serve.
According to Scripture, there doesn’t seem to
be anything that is closer to God’s heart than
the heart of a servant. In addition to placing students
in serving roles, we maintain connection with our serving
students to make sure that the ministry they are serving
in is a good fit and that they are equipped with everything
that they need to succeed in building the Kingdom.
Remember, we accomplish the mainstay
of discipleship for a High School audience on Wednesday
nights from 6:30-8:30 at THE EDGE. Are you looking for
