The Media and Communications
Teams are comprised of a variety of people who have
either creative, administrative, artistic, writing,
or computer abilities. Their goal is to use high-impact
media to share God's truth with others. Almost everything
you encounter through New Hope via print, video, graphics,
internet, e-mail, or voice mail is the outcome of our
Media and Communications ministries.
Below are a few of the ministries
included in the Media and Communications
ministry:
Video
Team: Director
Oversees the concept development, writing, planning,
and production of a video project. Types of project
include testimony videos, comedy skits, interpretive
music pieces, sermon series advertisments, and special
event highlights.
Video Team: Production Assistant
Assists the video production team in a variety of ways
including equipment management and production tasks
(such as aiming lights, helping with props and costumes,
maintaining the production check-list, and more).
Video Team: Camera Operator
Runs a video camera for video projects as a part of
the video production team. May videotape services on
Sunday morning or go on location with a video production
crew.
Video
Team: Interviewer
Interacts with interviewees on camera to help them share
their story effectively. Should have great interpersonal
and conversational skills.
Video Team: Editor
Converts raw footage into final video clips using computer
video editing software. Experience with Adobe Premiere
or comparable software a plus.
Video Team: Storyboard Artist
Assists the video production team by providing pre-production
sketches and concept drawings. Not often needed, but
a wonderful help for certain projects.
Photographer
Often called upon to capture candid shots of special
church events for use in video, print, display, or archive.
Portrait photogaphy is used for baby dedications and
baptisms.
Publication
Designer
Provides concept, design, and layout of various publications
including signs, banners, posters, brochures, flyers,
and more.
Graphic Designer
Assists with designing various graphics for worship
services, the church websites, video projects, or print
publications. Experience with Adobe Photoshop and/or
Adobe Illustrator a plus.
Writer / Editor
Provides written or verbal content for church e-mail
newsletter, website, brochures, video projects, or other
publications. May edit existing content or create new.
Proof Reader
Keeps our church publications and graphics professional
and error free by correcting errors or omissions in
spelling, grammar, or facts.
Web
Site Developer
Helps integrate interactive elements into our church
website. Professional level programming experience with
Macromedia Dreamweaver a plus.
Web Site Update Team
Enables our site visitors to listen to the Sunday sermon
online and get other valuable resources each week. Keeps
our website up-to-date by creating and uploading important
new files. No experience necessary.
Database Administrator
Assists with customized programming needs related to
our church database software. Advanced programming experience
in Microsoft Access a requirement.
