Kids are a priority at New Hope! We work hard to provide a safe, colorful, engaging place that children can't wait to get to. Your child will love playing with friends and learning about God while you're here.

Safety / Security
Your child's safety is of utmost importance to us!

  • Parents of nursery-age children are given a "parent alert" vibrating pager to notify them the very moment they are needed.

  • When you drop off your child to the nursery or pre-school rooms, your child is assigned a number tag. After the class, your child will be released only to the adult who has your child's matching tag.
  • All teachers must pass a thorough background check before serving in our Children's Ministries.

  • Many of our Children's Ministry personnel are CPR and First Aid certfied so that they may assist in the unlikely event of an emergency.

Age Determination

To help you determine which classroom is right for your pre-school child, please note the following:

  • Children graduate to the next class together in mid-September each year.
  • To be in the 2-year old class, your child must be age 2 by September 30th.
  • To be in the 3-year old class, your child must be age 3 by September 30th.
  • To be in the 4-year old class, your child must be age 4 by September 30th.
  • To be in the 5 & 6 year old class, your child must be age 5 by September 30th.

Classroom Locations
When you arrive, you'll need to check in your child at the appropriate Welcome Center--the South Campus for pre-schoolers, the North Campus for grades 1 through 5.

From there our Children's Ministry personnel will cheerfully guide you to the right classroom for your child. These maps will help you navigate your way on our campus. You'll want to arrive around 15 minutes before the worship service so that you have plenty of time to drop off your children and find a seat in the worship center without being rushed.

Sunday Mornings
INFANTS AND TODDLERS
Our Wee Care nursery provides a warm, nurturing, well-supervised environment for your child so that you can worship and learn without distraction. The nurseries are available during Sunday morning from 7:45 AM to 12:15 PM. Our Infant Nursery (SC 115) is for children from birth to walking. The Toddler Nursery (SC 118) is for children who can walk to those up to age 2.

A quiet, comfortable Mother's Room (SC 120) is provided in our Preschool Wing for nursing infants. Most of our restrooms are equipped with baby changing stations for your convenience.

PRE-SCHOOL CHILDREN (Ages 2-6)
Our pre-school wing is located in our South Campus, not far from the adult worship center. During the 8:00 AM service, children age 4 and under enjoy play activities in the Toddler Nursery (SC 118). Children age 5 and above attend the adult worship services with their parents during the 8:00 AM hour.

During the 9:30 and 11:00 AM services, classes are provided in the pre-school wing for each age group from 2-6 years old. Activities during these two hours are identical. Children spend an exciting half-hour enjoying fingerplays, storytelling, and singing before returning to their classroom for snacks and crafts. Age-appropriate memory verses, songs, and activities help to hide God's truth in your child's heart.

ELEMENTARY AGE CHILDREN (Grades 1-5)
During the 8:00 AM service, children from first through fifth grade attend the adult worship service with their parents. During the 9:30 and 11:00 AM hours, children in this age group enjoy energetic singing, interactive lessons, and creative activites in our North Campus building. After the service, your child can either remain in their classroom where you can pick them up or, with your permission, they can be escorted by an adult to meet you in the South Campus.

Parent Resources
Every month we make resources available to parents to help them reinforce what their 1st through 5th grade children are learning at Kids' Kingdom on Sunday mornings. To get this month's resources, stop by either of the Children's Welcome Centers in the North or South Campuses.

PARENT PACKS
These free packs include "God Time" quiet-time cards that help your children develop the habit of talking to God and reflecting on what He wants to do in their life. "Refrigerator Door" sheets have quick questions your can ask your child throughout the week to keep them talking about character and God's Word.

VIRTUE PACKS
Each month in Kids' Kingdom, we focus on a new virtue like Fairness, Friendship, Love, or Honor. We're thrilled to provide an excellent quality resource that reinforces each month's virtue through music, comedy, and devotion cards. Virtue Packs include "Meal Time" cards that spark discussion at the dinner table, "Bed Time" cards that wrap up the day with a devotional thought, "Drive Time" CD that captures kids' imagination with humor and fun, and "Morning Time" note cards for you to write meaningful notes to encourage your children.

Want to try out a Virtue Pack for the first time? Contact us for a free sample!

Great kids don't happen by accident. Use these great resources to shape your child's heart to follow God!

Wednesday Evening
On Wednesday evenings, limited childcare is provided for infants through Grade 5 in our South Campus. This childcare is reserved by application only (.pdf download) for those children whose parents are attending or serving in a Wednesday evening ministry that week.

KidStuf
Music, video, skits, and comedy provide a loose and fun atmosphere where kids and parents can laugh and learn about important character qualities like friendship, honor, faithfulness, and love. KidStuf is a special hour event that focuses on kids in grades 1st through 5th and ties in to what they are learning in Kids' Kingdom on Sunday mornings.

But KidStuf isn't just for kids! Every kid needs a parent or guardian to attend with them. Why? Because we want to help you make the most of the 3000 hours you have with your children every year. When you bring your child to KidStuf, you'll have an open door to discuss important issues with your children--and you'll learn about resources we offer that can help you encourage your children in their relationship with God.

Keep your eyes and ears open for the next KidStuf event coming soon!
